Christopher Smith, M.Ed., ATC, LAT, is in his sixth year as the Head Athletic Trainer for Hutchison School. He oversees all sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and rehabilitation needs for the Sting.  Smith also served a one year stint as an outreach Certified Athletic Trainer to Hutchison for Baptist Rehabilitation prior to his full-time employment at Hutchison. He came to Hutchison after serving two years as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Delta State University. While at Delta State, Smith assisted with the Statesman Football Team, while over seeing the day to day healthcare needs for the Lady Statesmen Softball team as well as the Statesmen and Lady Statemen Soccer Teams. Prior to Delta State, he served as a Student Athletic Trainer at the University of Tennessee for the Lady Volunteers Athletic Department and as an Intern Athletic Trainer for the Tennessee Titans of the NFL.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in Exercise Science, Smith also holds a Masters Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Delta State University. The Memphis, TN., native has been a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since 2005.
